The Oxford Suites Collection - Boise

Boise is a unique town and it sneaks up on you with how much it has to offer. The Boise Oxford Suites Collection Hotel is a chic and fresh take on a classic stay. Oxford Suites is a family-owned, independent business with 16 properties across the Western USA, all with different things to offer. Each property is specifically created by the mood and inspiration of the community in which they’re in.

It’s just a quick uber to downtown exploring, but it is nice to get away from the city clammer when you want to relax and chill. There’s hot breakfast daily and “Manager's Reception” two complimentary drinks in the dining room.

The hosts are friendly and pride themselves on being generous, caring, and accepting. The team is full of great recommendations and they’re incredibly friendly when you need something.

The most extravagant amenity is the enormous pool room with soaking tubs and bright light beaming through the windows (it’s on the perfect side if you want a lovely morning swim to wake you up!)

My experience in Boise.

I had only been to Boise one other time, back in college and I barely remember ANYTHING. I think I stayed close to BSU and slept on someone’s couch. Something that has really caught me off guard on this entire road trip is that I forget how large all of these other cities are. For some reason I think “non-major city, gotta have one gas station!” and that is simply not the truth!

When I left Walla Walla, I accidentally spilled water all over my computer, didn’t realize it until La Grande (half way point that has a great brewery Side A - check it out) where it was too late. The computer was fried. This was obviously very upsetting as I had SO much work to do on this trip, for hotels and clients… and I couldn’t NOT have a computer. When I got to the Boise Best Buy, I had to just buy a new one (temporarily using a MacBook Air but going to return for MacBook Pro because it just ain’t cutting it).

When I got to the Oxford Suites, I seemed completely disheveled and the staff was SO sweet. Really, I was a mess. You really know a good hotel when the staff doesn’t judge you for being a complete wreck! They also had the BEST basket for me, one like I’ve never seen before, which was so appreciated on my hard day. They really went above and beyond to make sure I tasted local eats, supported other small businesses and wineries, and of course, was well fed!

I went to the restaurant Fork (downtown) and I was so impressed by the cute atmosphere in the city. I would totally take a trip to getaway in Boise again!
