Cannery Pier - Astoria, Oregon

Cannery Pier is an entire reason to head to Astoria.  The Oregon Coast has always been my pacific home, with my Great Grandfather having built a house a few hours south of Astoria… but because of that, my whole life was spent in Pacific City and I didn’t explore the other little towns as much.  BUT, boy was I missing out!  Astoria has the cutest downtown (it reminds me of Savannah) where you can shop, look at art, find curated - to-die-for eats, and all of it still makes you feel like you’re on a home-y vacation.

The air is crisp and the views are stellar.

Mornings are serene and breakfast is complimentary (which is amazing!) In the lobby, there’s a cozy (but open) bar - Bar 600 - that is open for food + drinks in the afternoon/evening. The food is remarkable and unexpected for such a quaint beach town.

The venue also has a free vintage car shuttle that can take you out to dinner and pick you up!

It’s newly renovated, with gorgeous new furniture, bathrooms, and amenities.

The Spa was fresh, clean, and perfect for relaxation. I got the facial which was much needed for this puffy mom. It was fun hearing the esthetician’s story; she was such a sweetie!

There’s nothing like a fresh breeze and a wide view of the mouth of the Columbia River when you wake up with your fresh pour-over coffee (that the rooms are already equipped with!)

My Astoria - Story:

We have never had more than one night away from the babies. My mom took the twins for the week and HOLY COW was it a breath of fresh air to get away and have some peace and quiet. We didn’t change ANY diapers!
